Update

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't posted lately! I've been out of state. I'm currently in California. I arrived here Thursday! We drove up to San Francisco, it's so pretty here. Yesterday I went on the Golden Gate bridge which was actually on my bucket list! How cool is that? I also went to Lombard Street, which is famous for it's gorgeous flowers and it's road. It was very interesting! Below will be some pictures. I also went to China Town but my phone died and I could not take pictures, sorry guys. Later on I will be going to Alcatraz, I'll try to take some pictures and write about my experience on going there. Have you guys ever been to San Francisco? What are some fun things to do here? Ulta Haul

Hey guys, so the other day I went to Ulta and picked up a few things! I mainly went in for the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils, and as I was in there I picked up a few more items!

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils

I originally went in looking for the color Milk, as I had heard many good things about it. Sad to say, I was unable to find Milk so I decided to go with Cottage Cheese. The color has many shimmers, but since the shimmer is very fine, it makes it easy to use. The color is a very vibrant white with almost a hint of silver.The consistency is very creamy and milky. I love using it as a highlight for under my brow bone, and in the tear duct or my eye. I also like to use this pencil as an eyeliner on the waterline and every now and then on the tight line. Using a white as an eyeliner will give your eyes a larger effect as white makes things appear bigger. If you were to use a black, your eyes would appear smaller. I really like this color, though I have not tried it as a base, I think it would be great making the other colors applied on top of it more vibrant!

As I was looking for Milk, I found Yogurt and instantly fell in love with it. It is a very champagne pink kind of color and it is definitely a frost and a shimmer similar to Cottage Cheese. Once it is on your eyes it almost looks like a rose gold in some lighting. Like all NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils, it slides onto your eyes so smooth and creamy. I like to use it as a base for my eye for when I do brown smokey eyes. It would be a great highlight color for darker skins as well.






However, the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils tend to crease at times. I like to apply Benefit's Stay Don't Stray concealer and eye primer onto my eyes before applying the eye pencils. This prevents it from creasing, gives it a brighter and more radiant color, and allows it to last longer!

I also decided to get a pencil sharpener from NYX so I could sharpen my pencils at any given time (:

Last but not least, I found a nail polish that I became obsessed with. This was probably my favorite purchase from this mini haul! 

Bikini So Teeny is from Essie's new Summer Collection 2012. It is a periwinkle kind of color. It has very faint shimmers in it as well. It is a perfect color for the Summer, and looks great on tan radiant glowing skin! It is very similar to Chanel's nail polish in Coco Blue. However, Essie's Bikini So Teeny is a little bit darker and more purple! I love this nail polish and can't wait to rock it all Summer!
